1. What was your motivation for joining the 90-Day Challenge?
I entered the Challenge to tone up because I’ve never been satisfied with my body type. In the past I was either super skinny – 120 pounds at 6’1 or unhealthy overweight – 225 pounds at 6’3 and it wasn’t due to muscle. This has been extremely frustrating because even after graduating from the U.S. Army Infantry at Fort Benning, where I lost 25 pounds, I still had love handles which I’ve been self-conscious of. Also, my body was broken down from overtraining and my legs were constantly sore.

2. What was your 90-Day goal?
I knew I couldn’t lose my love handles completely in 90 days but my goal was to make some major strides while toning my body. With toning up as my number one focus, I also wanted to accomplish physical feat through competitive races without losing weight. I completed a total of 5 races; two 5k’s, a 10k, a 9 mile Navy Seal Inspired obstacle course and finished strong with a sprint triathlon. I ended the 90-Day Challenge having worked out or raced 5-6 days a week!

Wow, where do I start…The new SPORT Pack with the 3 add-ons became a major part of my plan after hearing about it at the NeoLife Convention in July. I had completed a 90-Day Challenge in late 2015 where I completed a 5k, half-marathon, and my first ever marathon but physically my body was broken due to an IT band issue that sidelined my training. 4. How has the Challenge positively impacted your life?
I never believed I could ever reach the same physical peak as my brothers, but for the first time in my life I started seeing results and that made me believe in myself and took my motivation to a whole new level. I had never considered myself an athlete like the rest of my siblings, but throughout my Challenge I found myself recovering quickly, competing for a podium spot in every race and a 10k 1st place finish! This Challenge has awoken my desire to compete! Now on to the year challenge!

5. What is one tip you would give to someone new to the Challenge?
Set your goals and make sure you don’t give in the first time you are presented with an opportunity to cave. Because once you give in just once, there will be a ton more “just one time” cheats and you have to stick to your plan or the mountain to climb will just get harder. Oh and stay motivated!
