According to the American Heart Association, 47 million Americans have metabolic syndrome. That is one out of every six people.

Metabolic syndrome looks at a defined group of risk factors – high blood pressure, high blood sugar, unhealthy cholesterol levels, and abdominal fat. Having one or more of these risk factors can double your risk of developing heart disease and/or stroke, while simultaneously increasing your risk of developing diabetes by five times.

Some of the risk factors can be controlled by lifestyle interventions. Scientific Advisory Board Director, John Miller, will share new research, and important information to support metabolic health.
