What was your motivation for joining the 90-Day Challenge?
I have so much to be thankful for these days. My son was born in April 2017 and about 2-3 weeks post surgery I noticed I was starting to show signs of feeling occasionally blue. Add on the frustration, burn out and just exhaustion from my profession it was only intensified. My husband accepted a position at Santa Clara University, which started our process of moving across country with a 4 month old and a 4 year old in August 2017. The stress of moving, trying to find a job and just all the uncertainties with a move like this, intensified my symptoms. Luckily, by the grace of God and through searching for a piece of furniture I met some amazing people. While moving in to our house I decided to look for some furniture through Facebook market and I ended up finding a hutch that was being sold by Promoters who shared NeoLife with me. Shelley Lozonne followed-up with me and I started on the Breakfast Pack. Within a week I noticed my energy levels rising and my health improving. Now to ease the stress of finding a job my husband and I decided we would start a NeoLife business. A little under a month of starting the products, getting back to an exercising routine and feeling so much better I began my 30-Day Challenge; to complete a 5K in under 30 minutes. After completing my 30-Day, I continued on to my 90-Day Challenge; to complete a half marathon in less than 2 hours. Read More

Lost 85 lbs.

“Before I joined the Challenge it was hard to move around, go up stairs and biking was really hard with all that extra weight. My relationship with my body wasn’t good; but I just wanted to give up. When I was stressed over things at work or in life, I’d eat. As I kept eating, my body kept growing and becoming less fit. It was an endless cycle. I felt like I couldn’t make any progress.Read More

1. What was your motivation for joining the 90-Day Challenge?
I entered the Challenge to tone up because I’ve never been satisfied with my body type. In the past I was either super skinny – 120 pounds at 6’1 or unhealthy overweight – 225 pounds at 6’3 and it wasn’t due to muscle. This has been extremely frustrating because even after graduating from the U.S. Army Infantry at Fort Benning, where I lost 25 pounds, I still had love handles which I’ve been self-conscious of. Also, my body was broken down from overtraining and my legs were constantly sore.Read More

What inspired you to join the Challenge?
I was inspired to join the Challenge after reading an article about adding muscle mass at every age. At almost 65, I wanted to prove that people in their 70’s, 80’s and 90’s can put on muscle mass given the right diet, exercise and whole food supplements at any age.Read More

Athletes, Are You Getting The Right Nutrients?

vitamins_sportVitamins and minerals play many roles in an athlete’s body including energy production and the maintenance of tissues, bone, and immune function. Exercise stresses many of the biochemical pathways where micronutrients are required, increasing the turnover and loss of these nutrients. Thus athletes may have greater requirements for these micronutrients in order to adequately build and repair muscles and maintain normal physiological function. Discover some of the most common nutrients athletes are lacking: calcium, vitamin D, B vitamins, iron, zinc, chromium and magnesium.1Read More
