JerryAnd the Pursuit of Extraordinary Achievement

In the all-time best selling book Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill wrote “desire is the starting point of all achievement”. I think this is absolutely true. I also think that everyone who has lived a life of extraordinary achievement has experienced failure and been stronger as a result. But what is it that allows us to persevere when those failures seem insurmountable?

I believe that passion is what keeps desire alive, fueling our ability to fully pursue and exceed the dreams we set out to achieve. Passion has been at the core of every extraordinary accomplishment throughout human history, as well as the victories I have personally experienced. I consider passion to be a Life Principle on the path to success.

I believe there are four key Life Principles: HOPE, SKILL, JOY, and PASSION. As a summary of how these Life Principles connect, I believe that God gives us passions and desires in order that we fulfill the unique plan He has for each of us. Then we need to reflect on our skills and what brings us joy, backed by hope—knowing we are destined for greatness. In this message I would like to focus particularly on Passion.

I’ve been asked many times “what if the things I am most passionate about are not things of importance?” My response to this highlights the fact that we can intentionally influence our passions so that they help us pursue a life of extraordinary achievement.

The inputs we allow into our lives will significantly affect us, whether we choose to believe it or not. For instance, growing up I struggled with feelings of poor self-worth. I felt as though I wasn’t good enough, wasn’t qualified and didn’t deserve success. But through mindfulness about the things I exposed my mind to, that were within my own control, I was able to overcome those insecurities with positive beliefs about my purpose and worth. I would read books like Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, attend events featuring inspirational speakers, and listen to tapes by Earl Nightingale. I can still remember a quote by Nightingale that inspired me early on saying, “the creator of the universe did not build a stairway leading nowhere”.

With the technology of today it’s never been easier to gain access to positive, life-enhancing content and receive input for success. It’s never too late to influence your own passions towards those aimed at extraordinary achievement as well as lead by example to encourage others to do the same.

My passion to change lives through NeoLife is continuously strengthened through the input I read, watch, or listen to each and every day. I was recently watching the financial news and heard a new report which revealed that 63% of Americans say they are unable to handle a $500 car repair or a $1,000 emergency room bill, according to bankrate.com. This breaks my heart because I grew up with this level of financial hardship and I also know that life doesn’t have to be this way. That is why I want everyone to have the same chance I did, to take control of their future through this incredible NeoLife opportunity.

I want to encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your Life Principles—what brings you hope, what skills do you possess, what brings you joy, and how you can influence your passions through input in order to reach and exceed your dreams. Then invest into others by teaching them to do the same. It brings me so much joy to continue to witness the extraordinary achievements in the lives of those in the NeoLife Family. Words cannot express how thankful I am for your partnership and passion for our shared mission to make the world a healthier and happier place.

God Bless,
